The Braun ThermoScan® 7+ IRT6525 measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and surrounding tissue. Because the eardrum shares its blood supply with the temperature control center in the brain, it accurately reflects changes in core body temperature.

Product Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the device – Remove the thermometer from its protective case and press the Power button.
Step 2: Attach a fresh lens filter – Push a clean, disposable lens filter straight onto the probe tip before every measurement to ensure hygiene and accuracy.
Step 3: Set the age group – Press the AgeSmart™ button to toggle through and select the correct age bracket for the person you are testing.
Step 4: Position the probe – Insert the probe snugly into the ear canal. The ExacTemp® light and beep will confirm when you have secure, correct positioning.
Step 5: Measure temperature – Press and release the Start button. The final, color-coded temperature reading will display on the screen.
Step 6: Eject and store – Press the Eject button to discard the used lens filter into a trash bin, then return the thermometer to its case.
